Home Stretch!!!!!
Hey All!!!!
It looks like this huge ordeal could almost be over. Daniel is not getting his hopes up but I can't help but be excited.
Yesterday, Daniel went into Immigration with a copy of my tax return form and a letter stating what sort of health insurance we are getting (it was hard because his Diabetes is considered a "pre-existing condition" and most companies won't cover pre-existing conditions for the first year - I'm like "why the hell would a diabetic want insurance that DIDN'T cover the diabetes???"). They took both forms and his passport and said that someone would call him if there were any problems. BUT, if there are no problems, he will receive his passport with his permanent Residency Visa in it but express post WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, he's not getting happy because they could still call him and say that they still need this or that. But, he has tried to give them his passport before, like at his official interview, and they said "no, for safe keeping, you hold onto it until we are actually ready to give you your visa". And, NOW THEY'VE TAKEN IT!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I'm all excited because as far as I'm concerned, they've basically just given us the sign that we are ALMOST there. As in, Daniel will most likely receive his greencard in the next two working days. So, we are thinking he'll fly out on Saturday, the 10th - just over a week away!!!!!!!!!!
"I'm walkin' on sunshine, waoh-oohh, I'm walkin' on sunshine, waoh-oh-oohh, I'm walkin' on sunshine, waoh-oohh, And don't it feel GOOD!!!!!"
I may get to see my boy in a little over a week. Today is a very good day!!!!!
Love to you all!!!!!
