A long-overdue post!!!!

I am so sorry it has been such a long time since I've posted...
There is a lot of news I've been meaning to tell you all.
Firstly, I did not get accepted into Brooklyn College - I've been put on a waiting list, but chances are slim to none that someone will drop out of the course before September. Please, PLEASE, don't send me any "so sorry, Taliesen. Things will work out... you have a different path set for you... what's meant to be will be" e-mail or messages. I appreciate that you are all thinking it, but I've done it (I felt sorry for myself for a day) and I've come to acceptance (really, I promise) and have moved on to now thinking about how I'm going to get this career of mine off the ground. Daniel and I have decided to take a very active role in writing and making short films on the weekends (we're going to start putting them on YouTube and my wed-page). We are also going to start going to play-reading nights and networking events. I'm going to look into some short courses soon, as well. So, that's THAT... I'm sorry it took me so long to tell you all.
Daniel is doing VERY well at his job, you'll all be glad to know. On his horizon is a very exciting helicopter and air-balloon shoot for which he needs to go down to Philadelphia for a couple of days. I have to admit to being a little jealous (more because he gets to see Philly and stay in a nice hotel at someone else's expense) but overall, I am SO very proud of him. This is going to be an amazing experience. There is also a possibility coming up that he'll be given the job of being the camera man for some important interviews (the format in which these are being shot is very exiting for him, and the camera-work - type of camera, etc - will look GREAT on his resume). There is also this exciting Hospital show that they are doing that Daniel is very heavily involved in at the moment. Really, he should be writing all this stuff - I just don't know enough of the details - but, what are the chances, right???
Anyway, suffice to say, his career is developing VERY nicely in this here Big Apple. He has a LOT of exciting things on the horizon and is feeling more and more confidant in his role within the company he's at. You should all be VERY proud of him, I know I am. He's come a very, VERY long way in the year he's been here. I knew he would, but I am SSOOOOOO glad that this huge risk we took is already paying off for him.
As for the rest of our lives... we are fine. Seeing friends as regularly as we can afford, eating as well as we can, and looking forward to Mum's visit in a few weeks.
Below are a few pics of us recently... just in case you all forgot what we looked like...
We recently had our friend Brandon over for dinner, which was very nice. Brandon has been a very good friend of mine since high school (in my senior play, He was Adam to my Eve) and is soon, unfortunately, moving to LA for his career... we are devastated.
My old, old, childhood friend, Bree, was recently in New York for a couple of days and I got to see her for an afternoon and meet her beautiful daughter. For those of you who know (or know OF) Bree, I put a picture of her and her baby below... Daniel and I both hope to get out to LA sometime soon and visit them...
And, finally, Daniel and I recently went out with a couple of friends... we discovered a bar that encourages the playing of "Drunken Jenga" in which the blocks have instructions on one side and as you pull out the block you must do as it says... ie "Free shot" or "Buy yourself and the bartender a drink" or "finish your drink"... you get the picture... bad news.
BEFORE!!!!!!!
AFTER!!!!!!!
Daniel was the mis-judging one who ruined it... and we all thought it would be Ed.
Me and Sara - thankfully NOT looking as drunk as the evil game of Jenga made us.
Sorry - I just thought this was funny - Daniel TRYING to take a picture of us girls but, unfortunately he was too... Jengaed.
Ahhh, second times a charm. This is us and our bartender, Nicky, whom we became quite friendly with... Hehehe. It was a great night... she was lovely. And I won't be forgetting in a hurry the two blocks which read "take your shirt off" or "kiss the owner" (who was a lovely guy)... neither of which were pulled out by ME!!!!!!
Anyway, all... yes, we are looking after ourselves. Much love to you all, as always. Missing you all and hope that you're all planning your next trip to NYC.
Daniel and I send big hugs, as always.
Love, Taliesen.
